How To Become Beautiful
Tips on How To Become Beautiful
Want to know how to become beautiful? First of all, how do you know for certain you aren't beautiful already? Do you think you are not, or feel that others think you are not? Even if beauty is a somewhat subjective term, let’s assume you're right. You aren't as beautiful as you'd like to be, and wish when you looked into the mirror, you'd see someone who looked somewhat different looking back at you. You'd like to change that image, and would really like to know how to become beautiful.
Three familiar phrases come to mind:
"You have to play the hand your dealt".
"Beauty is only skin deep".
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
All three should tell you something about yourself and about how to become beautiful, or at least more beautiful than you think you are already. As far as playing the hand your dealt is concerned, we all have to do that. Some times, in some games, we can work to improve that hand. That's often the case. At other times however, we seem to be stuck with what we have or who we are. When that's the case, the trick is to play the hand as best you can.
Maybe playing your hand as best you can doesn't give you too much in the way of good ideas about how to become beautiful, but it does tell you that in trying to reach a goal, becoming beautiful for example, you have to become good at working with what you already have, which may be more than you think.
Only Skin Deep? - Moving on to the beauty is only skin deep quote. This really addresses what someone is like more than just their physical appearance, and is intended to tell you, even if you don't look so hot, having a wonderful personality and being a good person will more than make up for it. This is very true, but small comfort. It's also not necessarily a true statement in terms of physical beauty. Your physical beauty depends almost entirely on something that goes on beneath your skin. That something is called health.
One of the best approaches as far as how to become beautiful is concerned, is to start from the inside and work out. It's difficult to become truly beautiful, or maintain that beauty, if your skin isn't healthy, or your hair isn't healthy. If you are not in the best of health, it can often be visible in your eyes and your smile, or lack of one. If you're not in the best of health, your personality may reflect that. We're not talking about really ill people here, If you have a serious disease or disorder, it can admittedly make looking beautiful much more difficult. The message here is to treat your body right. Eat well, avoid smoking or an excessive used of alcohol, keep your skin clean and moisturized, the same for your hair. Work on your mental and spiritual health as well so you can project a positive image.
First Impressions - Which brings us to the last famous quote, that of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. George Bernard Shaw said something to the effect that, "beauty is a fine thing, but who really notices it once it’s been in the house three days"? What this says is that how you look is more important when making a first impression, but once people truly get to know you, they come to recognize, perhaps unconsciously, its your inner self where the real beauty lies. The goal should be to be someone who is nice to be around, not something pretty it’s nice to be seen with.
Get Started - All this philosophizing may be well and good, but you may not find it as helpful as you'd like. You can look elsewhere for that, but here's a half dozen things you can to get started. Don't used too much make-up, less is better, keep you skin clean, stop chewing gum, at least don't chew it in company, work on your posture if needed, eat a healthy diet, and get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Those should be the basics in any book on how to become beautiful.
